LUXE! ala carte...thats almost all needed to say about this uber/chic paires de chaises de salon, but at m[E]...there is always stories! the pair, not the chairs, [luis sue+andre mare] known as sue et mare were acclaimed to have the plus beaux meubles en paris in the 20', rivaling even the works of ruhlman. this association became a partnership in 1919 with the foundation of "La Compagnie des Arts Francais" which lasted only until 1928 [oh, those boys!] sue et mare's much sought after design furniture used carving, exotic woods, gold/silver leaf to simply but elegantly state their combined purpose and vision. these lounge chairs exemplify the timeless beauty that the masters sue et mare have left for us to love in the 21sr century. provenance available.
