a shaped and free form edge table made from a fallen tree found outside of a downtown L.A. elementary school. you can see where the bees had burrowed and there is still the glistening of their work. the artist, john talbot, a well wood craftsman specializing in freeform bowls, is originally from connecticut and you can see the influence of his upbringing in his decided use of a traditional shaped base. a truly beautiful piece, both in material and execution.
